This week at 217 Brew Works you have the opportunity to bid on a Vollis Simpson Original Whirligig.

This piece was part of an estate sale being managed by 2nd Look here in Historic Downtown. The owner of the piece did not want it as part of the sale so they could ensure that it stayed in Wilson County.

Marty at 2nd Look suggested that it be put into a Sealed Bid Auction. We at 217 Brew Works were honored when he asked us to showcase the piece since we are so closely connected to the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park.

You will know this piece is authentic since it comes with photos of Vollis creating it.

You can come to the brewery during our operating hours this week (today at Noon, Monday from 4 till 9 pm, Tuesday from 4 till 9 pm, CLOSED WED AND THURS, Friday from 4 till 9 pm and Saturday from 4 till 9 pm).

We will stop taking bids at 5 pm next Saturday, February 25.

The winner will be announced after the high bid is determined.

Do not have to be present to win, but it would be helpful. Payment is with cash or check for the full amount of the bid. Payment must be made by close of business Monday, Feb 27 otherwise the next highest bidder will be notified.

Hope lots of our regulars and some newbies come by to see the piece in person and put in a bid.
